PURCHASING A LAGOTTO Puppy/Dog

SCREENING
All breeding dogs at Ducketts undergo rigorous screening for:
breed characteristics,

ideal personality

They are also tested for any hereditary birth defects such as:
Juvenile Epilepsy  (BFJE) ,

Duckett’s Lagotto guarantee is provided by and completely within the scope of this Vet Health Certification, with conditions limited to this Certification.

In addition, Lagotto Romagnolo of Canada LRC are closed, clean, free of Giardia, toxoplasmosis, Cocci or Kennel Cough ensuring when you purchase one of Ducketts Lineage, you are receiving a world-class premium Lagotto.

COMPLETE AND SEND YOUR PUPPY APPLICATION for ‘next litter’ consideration

Lagotto dogs are in high demand. Lagotto Romagnolo of Canada does rare selective breeding to produce a limited number of working truffle dogs of world champion quality.
For placement, an approved Lagotto Puppy/Dog Application is required.
We recommend completion of our Brietzke LRC Lagotto Application  to place your name on the Reserve List for either a trained older Lagotto or a puppy well in advance of the time you would like to receive a Lagotto.

A deposit is required to reserve a Lagotto Romagnolo well in advance of delivery. Deposits are placed on Applicants file toward their final cost of a confirmed puppy/dog for a 2 year period, at which time deposits are forfeited. It is recommended to apply for your Lagotto as soon as possible for demand is high for Ducketts premium lineage.

Duckett Truffieres

Our Lagotto are born, raised and trained for truffle hunting at Duckett Farms' nearly 100 acre Vancouver Island truffle orchard, where Canada's first Black Perigord truffles (T. Melanosporum) were harvested in 2007.

Master and Puppies

Master: Anna Dal Mulino Rosso – out of Gleska kennel, paired with Angelus Mei,  whelped a wonderful litter in 2017 (both lineages won Westminster 2016 + 2017 Lagotto Romagnolo Showing).  Here she is still checking each and every puppy, but not allowing the nursing the puppies would like. This little video shows the breed standard conformity of our Lagotto well.
